What’s a typical photo shoot like with Natalie Licini you might ask? Last Friday, I helped my friend Stacey in Marlboro, New Jersey for a photo shoot. This was no ordinary photo shoot. This was a high pressure situation because Stacey and I were going to photograph three fellow photographers families who wanted gorgeous holiday photos. In addition to Stacey Panassidi, Inku Yo, John Argueta, Feuza Dos Reis, Lara Saggese and David Pun photographed with us. Actually we all pitched in to take pictures of each other in the end. It was such a blast.
Many of you have seen my video online where I photographed my gorgeous 2012 bride and one of my clients. I hoped this video would give you an idea what a day in the life with me is like. http://blog.jerevele.com/2011/06/29/a-day-with-natalie-licini/
On Friday, some of my fabulous friends took photos of me in action. Although some of the expressions are not my finest they show you a glimpse of what a typical day is like working with me. It’s always filled with laughter and as you can see, I got some gorgeous photos of these families which I hope they will cherish forever.
When families arrive on the day of a photo shoot, I often spend time chatting with them getting to know them a bit more. I believe that relationship is really important. I spend time bonding with them and when I see a delicious little four month old boy with huge blue eyes, I literally go ga-ga for him. I’ll admit… I tried to take little Matthew home with me. But my clients feel comfortable with me and let me cuddle with their little ones. They do!
This relationship I develop with my clients let’s me get the best expressions from them. Little Matthew was lighting up in the photo below. I could not handle his gorgeous smile with those big dimples. Once again, I offered to take him home with me. As a mom of two girls, I really would love a boy. hehe
I can’t possibly express the joy I feel when photographing people. It’s my meditation. I immerse myself into my shoots and try my best to take the most beautiful photos but also leave my clients with a wonderful experience.
As you know, I photograph people of all ages and children as young as 4 days and as old as 40. Yes there are some grown up children out there. It takes one to know one.
This next beauty was just three years old and had an energy about her. She was simply angelic and elegant and the young age of 3.  I spent some time with her during the photo shoot and later took a few gorgeous shots of her and her older brother. I know you must be thinking I’m crazy to let her play with my camera, but it was holstered to me and we were seated safely on the ground.
Here I am photographing these two cuties. The expressions I got and love between these two siblings was unreal.
At the end of the shoot, I gave all the kids cake pops from Starbucks with permission of course. I don’t know if you could see it in my hand below.
At the end of our fabulous afternoon together a few of the girls got together for a few laughs. I can’t recall what was going on here, but we really bonded that day.
Here are three photos of these gorgeous families!
I wish everyone a very happy holiday season!!! Til next year!
