~ HOT off the Press ~ 2010 WPPI Accolade of Excellence Award

What a day indeed! I was on the bus in Manhattan and looked down upon my blackberry to see an email from WPPI with the subject “Your 2010 1st Half International Photography Competition Results”. For those unfamiliar with WPPI, it’s an organization full of the WORLD’s best wedding and portrait photographers.

I’m thrilled to announce that my image was awarded Accolades of Excellence in the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International 1st Half 2010 Competition. Receiving this honor from other photographers I hold in extremely high regard is very humbling. This is considered to be among the most important competitions for wedding and portrait photographers, and I’m thankful that my image was considered worthy of this accolade.

This image was taken after a photo shoot of Veritas Makeup in New Jersey in July 2010. There were so many incredible opportunities to capture Amber, and this image is something very special to me. It is a sincere honor to receive this award, which wouldn’t be possible without Amber and Love allowing me such creative freedom!
