As a child growing up, I loved celebrations, family events and parties and have so many albums filled with memories of my family.  I have few photos with my grandparents and even fewer photos with my dad who passed when I was just ten years old.  Family is so important to me, to Catie as well…

My gorgeous client Carla asked me to photograph her grandmother last year on her 100th birthday. It was such an honor to meet this lovely, talented and strong women born on April 5, 1911.  I can’t imagine what life was like living through the great depression or a world war, but her spirit and energy were contagious. Her love for her family, her granddaughter Carla and her namesake great-grandson was overwhelming.  Nani had 4 children, eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.   Nani passed away just two short months later, but the photos we took are ones that Carla cherishes.
