This portrait session was very special to me.  I’ve known Sal for longer than I’d like to admit.  It seems like only yesterday when I met Alissa, that I had this suspicion that she was the one for Sal.  They were married in 2009 and I was thrilled to photograph their wedding reception at Angelina’s in Staten Island.  Over the last few years, they’ve been very special friends and I’ve photographed their anniversary and Alissa’s maternity session as well.  Waiting for baby Destin to be born was one of the most exciting times for me.  This “Family Story” only just began and I’m excited to document their life and their family grows.

Many of my “moms” are hesitant to bring their baby out of their home during the first few weeks of life.  I always recommend in-home portrait sessions since its convenient.  Moms LOVE this option. I come with camera in toe, crocheted props all handmade and freshly washed of course.  I love taking pictures of babies in the buff. There’s nothing like seeing those chubby thighs at this young age and that little tushie! Ow, I love it!
